I admit- I always thought that having a small dog was kind of a waste of time. I mean, we live on a large piece of land, and have livestock. Our dogs needed to learn to work and earn their keep so to speak. Until a tiny little long hair long bodied mixed breed puppy showed up in the yard that is. We call her the Princess Puppy, and believe you me she lives up to it. Work the stock? Oh no. Leave the house when it is cold? Oh no. Not unless she has on her coat. And when it is raining, Princess Puppy now has a rain coat. Yes, I confess, the Princess Puppy has a rather large selection of clothes for dogs. My family kids me about getting soft in my old age, and I think the working dogs think Princess is a bit soft in the head. Princess for her part thinks the others are somewhat mentally damaged, since they don’t wear warm clothes and chase the live stock around from point to point.
