Voyeurism at its Best
Have you been watching this season’s Big Brother? I certainly have. Something about watching these people as they interact with each other is strangely compelling. It seems like some of these people might be embarrassed to see how they come across to the public, once the final editing of the show is complete. I always enjoy seeing the “hook-ups” that take place on this type of show. It is almost always the case that one person is playing the other, and clearly has no lasting interest in the other person. Do the contestants not realize that their actions will be shown to the world at large, or do they simply not care? Or, do they think that the things they are doing are actually socially acceptable, and other will not look down of them for doing these things? I suppose the thing that keeps me watching is trying to make sense of people’s motivations, and see who these people actually are as human beings.
