I was told I had the flu from the health services center at my university a few days ago. Let me tell you, it sucks. I am not one to get sick often, nor have I ever had the flu, but this is absolutely miserable. I have skipped classes three days in a row and I’m already behind – and it’s the second week of class. Ugh! I had a perfect health record until my senior year of college? It’s not fair. My days have been a mix of sleeping and being awake, or acting like it. I go back to sleep whenever I can’t hold my head up any more (it happens often) and I haven’t changed my clothes in three days. (Not to worry, Mom, I have clean undies on.) Trips to the bathroom have been frequent and unpleasant; as a result I am guzzling about three gallons of water a day. I hope this will be over soon, I really do.
