I personally have never given in to peer pressure, or that I can remember at least. Nothing crazy like drinking, smoking, doing drugs, or something illegal. Even though I haven’t experienced peer pressure I understand it is a huge problem in our society. I have seen it happen to others in my friend group, and heard numerous stories of it in schools. I think the one thing that can be done to avoid it is to show kids how to be confident in themselves so that they can have the self esteem to do what they are comfortable with and what they know is right. This can be done my empowering and positive role models like teachers and school staff members.

Dogs are often described as the high maintenance pet when comparing them to cats. So if you’re looking for a pet that is low maintenance, you may want to consider getting yourself a cat. However, despite the maintenance involved, the joy a dog can bring to your life is astonishing; they aren’t called man’s best friend for nothing! If you’re considering getting yourself a dog you’ll need to research all the things you’ll need, such as a dog house, dog bowls and leashes. You’ll also need to consider the annual costs of dog food and a veterinarian, among other things. Taking care of a pet, especially a dog can be expensive and time consuming, but if you can handle the high maintenance lifestyle of owning a dog, I very much doubt you will regret your decision.
