It’s only a paper moon

The last couple of years, one of my favorite hobbies have been making paper craft models. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, there are a lot of websites where people post paper models you can print out and assemble for free or for a small fee, and a lot of paper craft model books and kits are available as well. There are models available for all sorts of famous buildings and vehicles, and movie and TV characters and props. You can get some really amazing results if you take the time to build a model right, and they make really nice – and very cheap – gifts. It’s something handmade, but it has a very professional look. If you can’t afford to give a friend a plastic model of their favorite car, for instance, you can give them a paper version that looks great on a shelf. Some models also have working parts, so you can turn a little paper crank and watch the model do stuff. I’ve had so much fun making these paper models that one of these days I think I’ll even design some of my own!
