Since my sister works in a city away from home, my parents look forward to her coming home once every sixty days. Whenever she visits, my mother cooks all her favorite dishes and we have a nice family dinner laughing and pulling each other’s legs. This is always the best time to have a little family fun and a large roasted chicken is always on the menu. As usual, last night too we had a large whole chicken roast with fried potatoes. It was such a treat. My mom roasted the chicken after stuffing it with her special stuffing mix and my dad cuts it open for us with his fancy collection of knives and choppers. It is almost like a standard ceremony that all of us look forward to having every time she visits. Last night we poured a little alcohol on the chicken and then set it on fire. As the flames rose a little, my dad raised a toast to all three of us, daddy’s angels. Was such a wonderful, memorable evening and I thank God for blessing me with such a beautiful family.
