A Few Words
I have heard many stories over the years, about how people reacted when they found their horse was stolen or turned up missing. This week, I found out for myself exactly how that felt. In short, it was pretty horrible, but thanks to listening to others, we had a plan in place to handle the situation. We were able to find our horse, and bring him home. However, the week did not get any easier. Sleep was difficult to say the least, and the first night he was home I stayed up, all night, watching him. His injuries need daily treatment, and his overall health needs close supervision. These responsibilities added on top of raising two young children and taking care of my mother and father in law, have made the week incredibly hard. Even with the difficulty, I work hard to find a bright spot each day. Some days, the bright spot is a hug from a child, or the knowledge that my horse- unlike so many others- is home and alive. That, in a nut shell, has been a look into my week.
